Mucoactiol is a medicine in the form of an oral solution indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract disorders associated with colds and flus, which involve the production and excessive secretion of mucus.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Use the measuring cup and take 15 ml every 8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 3 intakes per day.
Do not use Mucoactiol:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components listed in the composition of this medicine.
In diabetic patients.
In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, without prior medical consultation.
In patients with impaired thyroid function, without medical supervision.
If pregnant.
Mucoactiol may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Among them, the following frequent adverse reactions have been observed: stomach upset, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting.
Each ml of Mucoactiol contains 50 mg of Carbocisteine as the active substance. The other excipients are: Sodium hydroxide, Carmellose sodium, Sucralose, Disodium phosphate, Tartrazine (E-102), Sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-219), Citric acid, Vanilla flavouring, Purified water.
For proper administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup and wash out after each use. Drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to facilitate its action.
Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.
It is recommended to drink plenty of water during treatment in order to hydrate mucous membranes and thin mucus.
Once opened, it will remain stable for a maximum of 4 weeks. Once this time has elapsed, discard.
See your doctor if you do not improve within 5 days or if symptoms worsen.
