What is Frenadol and what is it for?

Frenadol is a medicine formulated to relieve the symptoms of flus and colds, thanks to its composition of paracetamol with dextromethorphan, an antitussive, and chlorphenamine, an active ingredient that inhibits nasal secretion.

It also includes other active ingredients, such as caffeine and vitamin C, which help to reduce other typical symptoms, such as fever, weakness, unproductive cough and runny nose.

Who can take it?

Specially formulated for use in adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over, who have and want to relieve cold or flu symptoms.

It is especially recommended for children and young people, helping to reduce fever and relieve pain, thanks to the combination of active ingredients such as paracetamol, dextromethorphan, an antitussive, and chlorphenamine, an ally to reduce nasal secretion. It comes in granulated sachets.

Frenasal®Plus

It is a medicine that belongs to the nasal decongestant group, so it is very helpful in reducing and relieving nasal congestion and irritation of the nasal mucosa.

When should Frenadol be taken?

The recommended dose for adults is 1 capsule every 6 to 8 hours (3 or 4 times a day), as needed. Preferably take 1 capsule before going to bed, without exceeding the maximum dose of 4 capsules a day (equivalent to 2 g of paracetamol).

How long does it take to take effect?

In just 2 to 3 days, Frenadol will get rid of the discomfort of flu or the common cold, thanks to its formula with paracetamol 650 mg, which has analgesic properties to relieve pain.

Who should not take it?

Frenadol should not be taken by patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, or severe liver or kidney disease.

Composition of Frenadol

The composition of Frenadol Complex granules for oral solution is as follows: Paracetamol: 650 mg, chlorphenamine maleate: 4 mg (equivalent to 2.80 mg chlorphenamine) ,dextromethorphan hydrobromide: 20 mg, caffeine citrate: 30 mg, ascorbic acid: 250 mg, excipients with known effect: 8.190 g sucrose, 0.09 mg orange yellow S (E-110), 100 mg orange flavouring (with traces of benzyl alcohol and sodium) and other excipients.
