Frenadol Junior Flu Relief for Children, Orange Flavour, Oral Use, 10 sachets

It is a medicine that combines paracetamol, dextromethorphan and chlorphenamine for a multiple action, as it serves both as an antitussive and to relieve symptoms such as fever, nasal congestion and secretion and pain.

It is therefore a medicine used for cold and flu-like conditions.

Frenadol® Junior is indicated for the symptomatic relief of flus and colds with mild or moderate headache, as well as fever, non-productive cough, such as irritative and nervous cough, and runny nose in children over 6 years of age and adolescents.

Take 1 sachet every 6-8 hours and no more than 4 sachets a day.

Contraindications

• Do not use Frenadol Junior in children under 6 years of age.
• Consult your doctor about taking this medicine if you are taking any other drug for conditions such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturate, barbiturate...), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting).rich), nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propranolol), depression, parkinson's disease...
• Pregnancy and lactation: This drug cannot be used during pregnancy and lactation.
• Do not take with bitter orange or grapefruit juice.
• Do not drink alcoholic beverages using this medicine, as it may cause liver damage.
• This medicine contains sodium (special care with hypertensive patients), sucrose (special care in diabetes), orange yellow (causes allergic reactions) and soya oil (do not take if you are allergic to this component).

Side effects

Like all medicines, Frenadol Junior may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: nightmares, excitement, nervousness, dry mouth, throat and nose.
• Very frequent adverse reactions: sedation and drowsiness.

The active ingredients of Frenadol Junior are: paracetamol 300 mg, dextromethorphan 15 mg (as hydrobromide) and chlorphenamine 2 mg (as maleate).

The other ingredients are: sucrose, saccharin sodium, titanium dioxide (E-171), citric acid anhydrous, polysorbate 80, sodium cyclamate, tangerine durarome flavouring (contains traces of soya oil), quinoline yellow (E-104), sunset yellow (E-110).

• The sachets have an orange flavour and should be dissolved in at least half a glass of water, stirring well before taking.
• Do not take more than 4 sachets a day. If after 3 days the symptoms do not improve, seek medical advice.
