Web Accessibility Policy

1. Introduction

THINK-PHARMA TANK, S.L. (hereinafter ‘Farmaciasdirect’), the owner of the website www.farmaciasdirect.com, which specialises in the sale of pharmacy, parapharmacy and health products, is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to everyone, including those with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.

This policy describes our website’s current level of compliance with internationally recognised accessibility standards, existing limitations, the contact channels available and the planned improvement programme.

2. Applicable regulatory framework

This policy has been drawn up in accordance with the following regulations:

  • Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (European Accessibility Act), applicable to private-sector e-commerce from 28 June 2025.
  • Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 September, on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications (transposition of Directive 2016/2102).
  • Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013, of 29 November, approving the Consolidated Text of the General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion.
  • Regulation UNE-EN 301 549, which sets out the technical accessibility requirements for ICT products and services in Europe, in line with WCAG 2.1.

3. Technical reference standard

The technical standard used as a reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This level is the minimum required by European and Spanish regulations applicable to e-commerce.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is organised around four principles: web content must be Perceptible, Operable, Understandable and Robust.

4. Statement of compliance

The website www.farmaciasdirect.com is currently in partial compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

This means that the website meets most of the Level A and AA criteria, but there are certain areas currently under review and in the process of being improved, as detailed in the following section.

A comprehensive external technical audit in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA is scheduled to be completed during the second half of 2025, following which this statement will be updated with the results.

5. Content not accessible

The following areas may have accessibility issues, which we are working to resolve:

5.1. Product images

  • Some product images may not have alternative text (the ‘alt’ attribute) that is sufficiently descriptive for screen readers.
  • Certain decorative elements may not be correctly labelled as such.

5.2. Forms and the purchasing process

  • Some fields in the registration, login and checkout processes may have incomplete or uninformative labels.
  • Keyboard navigation for certain interactive features (product filters, shopping basket) is currently being reviewed and improved.

5.3. Colour contrast

  • Certain secondary and informational text may not meet the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 required by WCAG 2.1 AA.

5.4. Third-party components

  • Certain integrated third-party widgets (payment gateways, customer service tools) are partly beyond our direct technical control. We are working with our suppliers to gradually improve their accessibility.
