Frenadol® Complex is a medicine indicated for the symptomatic relief of flus and colds, with mild or moderate pain, such as headache, as well as fever, non-productive cough and runny nose. Suitable for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over, Frenadol® Complex combines paracetamol, chlorphenamine, caffeine and dextromethorphan, which have antitussive properties, as well as ascorbic acid or vitamin C.
Orange-coloured, orange-flavoured granules for oral solution. Each pack contains 10 sachets.
It is a medicine in the form of granulated sachets that combines paracetamol, dextromethorphan, caffeine and vitamin C, which serves as an antitussive and to relieve symptoms such as fever, congestion and runny nose, as well as the pain and decay typical of colds and flus.
It is a medicine used for cold and flu treatment.
Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age with symptoms such as mild or moderate pain (such as headache), fever, non-productive cough (irritable or nervous cough), runny nose, sneezing, weakness or fatigue.
Take 1 sachet every 6-8 hours and no more than 4 sachets a day.
Do not use Frenadol Complex in children under 14 years of age.
Consult your doctor about the use of this medicine if you are taking any other medicine for diseases such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturate...), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting).nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propranolol), depression, parkinson's disease...
Pregnancy and lactation: this drug cannot be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Do not take with bitter orange or grapefruit juice.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages using this medicine, as it may cause liver damage.
Like all medicines, Frenadol Complex may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: nightmares, excitement, nervousness, dry mouth, throat and nose.
Very common side effects: sedation and drowsiness.
The active ingredients are: 650 mg, dextromethorphan 20 mg (as hydrobromide) and chlorphenamine 4 mg (as maleate), caffeine citrate 30 mg and ascorbic acid 250 mg.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, titanium dioxide (E-171), citric acid, polysorbate 80, orange flavouring (containing traces of benzyl alcohol and sodium), quinoline yellow (E-104), orange yellow S (E-110).
The sachets have an orange flavour and should be dissolved in at least half a glass of water, stirring well before taking.
Do not take more than 4 sachets a day and if after 3 days the symptoms do not improve, seek medical advice.
