It is a medicine in the form of orange and honey-flavoured lozenges formulated with bencinamide, an active ingredient with local anti-inflammatory action that is used for the relief of temporary sore throat, irritation or discomfort on swallowing.
It comes in a format of 20 lozenges to suck.
Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 8 hours and no more than 3 a day.
Do not use Tantum Verde orange-honey flavour in children under 6 years of age.
This medicine is contraindicated in patients who have had stomach and intestinal ulcers, as well as in patients suffering from heart, liver or kidney diseases.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains isomalt (special care in patients with intolerance to certain sugars), orange yellow, orange flavouring with citral, geraniol, linalool (may cause allergic reactions).
Like all medicines, Tantum Verde Orange-Honey can cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: numbness, drowsiness, blisters in the mouth, burning sensation in the mouth, altered sense of taste.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Dizziness, headache, throat irritation, sore throat, headaches.
The active ingredient of Tantum Verde orange-honey flavour is bencinamide. Specifically, each tablet contains 3 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride (equivalent to 2.68 mg of benzydamine). The other ingredients are: isomalt (E953), acesulfame potassium, citric acid monohydrate, orange flavouring, honey flavouring, levomenthol, quinoline yellow (E 104), orange yellow S (E110).
Tantum verde orange-honey flavour is an orange-yellow green lozenge with a refreshingly sweet orange-honey flavour.
Put the lozenge in the mouth and let it dissolve slowly in the mouth without stopping to move it, as it is a medicine for local use. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
Do not use this treatment for more than 3 days, unless prescribed by a doctor.
