Capsule for the treatment of vaginal infection caused by uncomplicated vulvovaginal candidiasis.

This vaginal capsule is a medicine formulated with clotrimazole, an antifungal medicine widely used for the treatment of fungal infections, specifically uncomplicated vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Symptoms include itching, pain and redness of the vulvar area and/or a burning sensation when urinating.
Intended for to treat the symptoms associated with vaginal infection caused by vulvovaginal candidiasis in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age(Candida).
Apply one vaginal capsule, preferably at night before going to bed, inserting it with the applicator included in the product .
It is important not to use other vaginal products, such as tampons or spermicides, for the duration of the treatment.
If you are pregnant and are in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy, insert the capsule without the applicator.
Do not use Gine-Canesten
Gine Canestén 500 mg may cause side effects, as is the case with other medicines, but this does not mean that everybody suffers from them. The most common side effects are
- Allergic reactions such as hypotension, urticaria or difficulty breathing .
- Abdominal pain.
- Discomfort in the genital area such as irritation, itching, burning, scaling, rash, oedema, erythema, pelvic pain or vaginal bleeding.
Each vaginal capsule of Gine-Canesten contains 500 mg clotrimazole. The other excipients are: soft white paraffin, liquid paraffin, gelatin, glycerol, purified water, titanium dioxide (E-171), quinoline yellow (E-104), orange yellow S (E-110), lecithin, medium chain triglycerides.
Gine canesten ovulo 500 mg is an antifungal medicine indicated to treat vaginal infections caused by Candida, a fungus that causes increased discharge and a characteristic odour, accompanied by itching and even burning when urinating.
It is applied vaginally, preferably at night before going to bed, after intimate hygiene. Thanks to its convenient applicator, place the capsule and insert it deep into the vagina, pressing the plunger to deposit the capsule.
