This application should be done 2 or 3 times a day. A similar procedure is followed to treat Stage II pressure ulcers, as the product is applied after the usual cleansing has been carried out.
Mepentol can be placed directly on the ulcer or a gauze can be sprayed and then applied to the affected area. Finally, it is advisable to cover the ulcer with a bandage. In both cases, before applying Mepentol ulcer spray, the caregiver is advised to protect his/her hands with gloves.
