What is it and what is it for?

HANSAPLAST MED is a product that is intended to help eliminate the calluses that can appear on the foot due to the pressure caused by wearing closed or very narrow shoes. It is designed both to soften the skin and to provide comfort while the treatment is being carried out, thus preventing the appearance of new ones immediately.

The most important components of the dressings are salicylic acid, balsam of Peru and lanolin. Salicylic acid is the component that directly treats corns. It has the ability to soften the dead skin, as it dissolves the cells that accumulate. This makes it easier and easier to remove the callus with the help of warm water or simply wait for it to fall off on its own.

Balsam of Peru is a component that has an anti-inflammatory effect and antifungal properties. This is an addition that helps to improve the action of the product, as a calloused foot is very susceptible to inflammation due to pressure and fungus. Lanolin is responsible for moisturising the skin so that it is soft after using the dressings.

Who is it suitable for?

It is indicated for all those who have corns and calluses that cause pressure or pain with the friction of the shoe when walking. It can be used to treat both soft and hard corns, or corns that have been there for a long time.

Instructions for use

To use the product correctly, follow this step by step.

  1. First clean the callus area very well with soap and water.
  2. Unpack a dressing and remove the protective film.
  3. Dry the skin completely and then identify the centre of the dressing. This is the one that needs to be just above the callus.
  4. It needs to be changed every 2 days with a new dressing.
  5. After 4 days the callus can be loosened to a greater extent with warm water, soap or salt.

Dressings should be kept in a cool, dry place. After the callus has been removed, constant moisturising of the skin may be considered to prevent new calluses.

Contraindications

No allergic reactions from regular use of the product are indicated.
