Effipro External Antiparasite Pipettes Effipro pipettes keep your feline free of parasites, as they are recommended for the control and prevention of flea and tick infestations in cats. This monthly application method effectively protects your pet from insects all year round. It is very convenient and easy to use, thanks to its spot-on system. This product for cats is effective against ticks (Rhipycephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus) and fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Effipro pipettes contain fipronil, which is an effective insecticide and acaricide that acts against the nervous system of the parasites, causing their death.
These antiparasitic pipettes have an insecticidal efficacy against new infestations of adult fleas for 4 weeks and against ticks for 2 weeks. If ticks are already present on the animal at the time of application, it is likely that they will not die within 48 hours of treatment, but will die within 1 week. Similarly, Effipro pipettes can be used as a treatment strategy against flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), provided it has been previously diagnosed by a supervising veterinarian.
