Tablets for the occasional symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, dental and menstrual pain, as well as feverish conditions.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a medicine indicated to relieve painful symptoms such as headache, menstrual pain, joint pain, muscle pain, among others. It is also used to reduce fever.
It is indicated for adults and children over 7 years of age and weighing more than 20kg.
For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, take half a tablet or one tablet every 4-8 hours respectively, without exceeding 1200 mg of ibuprofen / 24 hours.
In children it is administered as follows:
Between 20-29 kg: 200 mg every 8 hours, not exceeding 600 mg/day.
Between 30-39 kg: 200 mg every 4-8 hours, with an interval of no less than 4 hours between each dose, without exceeding 800 mg/day.
From 40 kg: follow the adult dosage.
It should be taken on a full stomach.
In patients with impaired renal function, a doctor should be consulted for possible dose adjustment.
Do not administer in case of recurrent gastrointestinal ulcer, history of gastrointestinal bleeding, severe cardiac insufficiency, hepatic and renal insufficiency.
In case of allergy to ibuprofen or other excipients contained in this medicine, as well as in patients with asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or nasal polyps. Contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Special care should be taken in patients with hypertension, as it may increase blood pressure.
Special care should be taken if you are taking any of the following medicines, and consult a doctor before administration: Baclofen, chloramphenicols, loop diuretics, antihypertensives, hydantoin, tacrolimus, furosemide, methotrexate, pentoxifylline, hypoglycaemic agents, among others.
May infrequently lead to thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and haemolytic anaemia. May infrequently cause asthma, allergic reactions such as bronchospasm, rhinitis, asthma, oedema, dyspnoea, heart failure, visual disturbances, hypertension, among others.
More frequently, it may cause headaches, skin rash and itching, as well as gastrointestinal discomfort, dyspepsia and vomiting.
Each tablet of Doctril Forte contains 400 mg of Ibuprofen as the active substance. The other excipients are: polyvidone, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, magnesium stearate and hydroxypropyl cellulose.
If you have muscular pain, pain due to sprained ankles, contracture, or pain due to inflammatory or dental processes, take 1 tablet or half a tablet of Doctril Forte every 4-8 hours, without exceeding the maximum daily amount indicated for each case. It can also be used in febrile states at the same dose.
