Eye drops for the relief of symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as tearing, itching, and redness of the eyes.

Reactine eye drops are an anti-allergy medicine whose active ingredient is levocabastine, an antihistamine active ingredient indicated for the temporary relief of the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, such as watering, itching and redness of the eyes.

Reactine for allergy is suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. In pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.
Apply 1 drop of Reactine to each eye twice a day (every 12 hours). If relief of symptoms is not maintained for 12 hours, the number of applications may be increased to a maximum of 3 or 4 times a day (every 6 or 8 hours) as needed.
Do not use Reactine Levocabastine if you are allergic to levocabastine or to any of the excipients.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use Reactine Levocabastine if you have kidney disease, as the medicine is mainly excreted through the kidney.
You should not wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses.
Reactine eye drops may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following have been observed:
Frequent: eye pain, blurred vision.
Infrequent: swelling of the eyelid.
Very rare: palpitations, hypersensitivity, headache and eye pain, conjunctivitis, watery eyes, allergic reaction, angioedema (swelling of certain areas of the skin), contact dermatitis, urticaria and reactions at the site of application, such as a burning sensation.In very rare cases, some patients may experience a reaction such as burning sensation of the eye, redness, irritation, swelling, itching and pain in the eye and blurred vision. In very rare cases, some patients with significant corneal (front thin layer of the eye) damage have developed whitish areas on the cornea due to calcium accumulation during treatment.
The active substance in Reactine Levocabastine is levocabastine. Each millilitre contains 0.5 milligrams of levocabastine.
Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, hypromellose, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, disodium edetate, water for injections q.s.
Caution with Reactine eye drops, as this eye allergy medicine may interfere with analytical tests.
Remove contact lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting, as it alters the colour of soft contact lenses.
Each container of levocabastine eye drops should only be used by a single patient and the medicine should be discarded after treatment, even if the contents are not completely used up.
