Traditional medicine made from cranberries to prevent recurrence of cystitis.

It is a traditional cranberry-based medicine formulated to prevent the recurrence of cystitis or acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections, based exclusively on its traditional use.
It comes in a pack of 15 capsules.
Suitable for use by adult women over 18 years of age.
The recommended dose is 1 capsule per day.
Use this medicine when you suffer from recurrent urinary tract infections, which means you have had at least 3 or more episodes in the last 12 months or 2 or more episodes in the last 6 months.
Take one capsule per day for at least 15 consecutive days after finishing the antibiotic treatment of the last urinary tract infection to maintain a clean urinary tract and prevent recurrence of the infection.
The treatment can be repeated up to 4 times a year.
It is important to maintain regular intake of the drug as recommended to support the efficacy of the treatment. The frequency of treatment should be managed according to the number of previous infections or on the advice of your health care professional.
It is not necessary to stop treatment with Ellura during cystitis.
Do not use Ellura:
In children under 18 years of age.
If you are allergic to cranberry or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you are taking anticoagulant medicines (warfarin, acenocoumarol, apixaban, edoxaban, dabigatran, and rivaroxaban) or if you are being treated with parenteral anticoagulants (heparins).
if you have severe heart disease or kidney failure
If you have or have had kidney problems, including kidney stones.
If you are on a reduced fluid intake diet because you have fluid retention, oedema or swollen legs.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding and have not previously consulted a doctor.
As with all medicines, Ellura may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, some cases of diarrhoea, nausea and skin rash have been reported, although the frequency of occurrence is unknown.
Each capsule contains as active ingredient: 195-216 mg extract (as dry, refined extract) of Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton (cranberry) fruit juice corresponding to 36 mg of proanthocyanidins (PAC), calculated as PAC-A2. The other ingredients are: hypromellose (vegetable capsule shell), mannitol, magnesium stearate and anhydrous colloidal silica.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may need to take any other medicines.
The tablets should be taken with a large glass of water and drink plenty of water during treatment. In case of recurrent infections, this medicine may be taken up to a total of 4 times a year as a preventive treatment. It is not necessary to interrupt it in case of antibiotic treatment.
