Acofar Urine Sampling Collection System + Tube

The Acofar urine sample collection system + tube is a pack that includes a transparent plastic container without a lid and a test tube with a cap and labelling. Both products are factory sterilised to prevent contamination of the sample.

The screw cap on the tube effectively prevents outside contamination from adversely affecting the urine sample. This creates a sealed space that preserves the urine in the optimal conditions needed for various medical examinations.

This product is suitable for collecting urine samples from adults or children. Suitable for both women and men.

It is recommended for use in the morning of the day or a few days before the urine sample is to be collected and during the first urination. The methodology to collect urine with this system is as follows:

• Tear the bag containing the product to remove the container.
• Place the container in the appropriate position to collect the urine sample.
• Urinate into the container, but bearing in mind that for different studies it is advisable not to catch the beginning or the end of the urine.
• Once the urine is in the container, take the tube out of the bag and remove the cap.
• Carefully transfer the urine from the container to the tube. Try not to spill too much and make sure that the urine does not come into contact with any other surface.
• When the transfer is complete, the tube is recapped and, if any urine residue remains in the container, it is recommended that it be properly disposed of along with the container itself.

To preserve the urine sample in case it cannot be taken for examination on the same day, it is possible to keep the tube in the refrigerator for a few days, although this is not recommended.

Do not use the product if you notice any breakage or if you notice that the protective bag containing the tube and the container is open. Do not place near sources of heat or ignition. Do not reuse any of the products, both should be discarded at the end of their use.
