What is Omeprotect and what is it used for?

It is a medicine belonging to the group of so-called "proton pump inhibitors", which reduce the acid produced by the stomach. It is therefore used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms, which include burning and acid regurgitation.

It comes in a blister pack containing 14 capsules.

Who it is intended for

Suitable for use in adults over 18 years of age.

Directions for use

The normal dose is 1 capsule per day, with some water, preferably in the morning. The capsules should be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing.

Contraindications

Do not use Omeprotect:

  • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicinal product or any derivative thereof.

  • If you are allergic to medicines containing proton pump inhibitors (e.g. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole).
