Cinfatos Complex Oral Suspension, 125 ml

CinfatósComplex is a cough medicine made up of a combination of paracetamol, dextromethorphan and pseudoephedrine:

• Paracetamol is effective in reducing pain and fever.
• Dextromethorphan has antitussive action (inhibits cough reflex).
• Pseudoephedrine is effective in reducing nasal congestion.

Its use is indicated for the symptomatic relief of influenza and common cold processes with mild to moderate pain, fever, unproductive cough (irritative cough, nervous cough) and nasal congestion.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Shake the bottle wellbefore use. Measure the amount of medicine to be taken with the measuring cup supplied with the bottle. After use, wash the measuring cup. If the medicine is taken in the evening, it should be taken a few hours before bedtime to reduce the possibility of insomnia in patients with sleeping difficulties.

The recommended dosage is 1 measure of 10 ml every 6-8 hours (3-4 times a day). Do not take more than 3 g of paracetamol every 24 hours.

Patients withliver or kidneydiseaseshouldconsulttheir doctor before taking this medicine .

In patients over 60 years of age,the dosage should be established by the doctor because of the possibility that a reduction of the usual dose may be necessary.

Likeall medicines, Cinfatós Complexmaycauseside effects, although noteverybody gets them. In this case, the following have been observed:

Rare:malaise,low blood pressure (hypotension),increased blood transaminase levels.

The active ingredients in Cinfatós Complex are paracetamol, dextromethorphan and pseudoephedrine.Specifically, each ml oforal suspension contains:Paracetamol 50 mg, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 2 mg, Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 6 mg. The other excipients are: maltitol (E-965), glicerol (E-422), citrato de sodio, ácido cítrico monohidrato, hipromelosa, goma xantán, parahidroxibenzoato sódico de metilo (E- 219), aspartamo (E-951), glicirrinato amónico, sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate ( E-217), orange flavouring (contains propylene glycol (E-1520) and ethanol), orange juice flavouring, masking flavouring and purified water.

Concomitant use of this medicine with other medicines containing paracetamol should be avoided, as high doses may result in liver damage. Do not use more than one medicine containing paracetamol without consulting your doctor.

If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 5 days (3 days for fever if present), or if other symptoms such as high fever, skin rash or persistent headache occur, you should consult a doctor.
