Covid-19 Nasal Antigen Test - 1 Unit - All Test

The Covid-19 Nasal antigen test is a rapid test to detect the presence of antigens of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19.

It is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens, which is performed from a small sample of nasal fluids, which is very simple and effective to apply. In addition, it has the following characteristics: Sensitivity: 96.4%, Specificity: 99.0% and Accuracy: 98.2%.

Similarly, this is a single-use test, which has a high accuracy of 98.2%, manufactured by All Test, a supplier and registered trademark in Spain, which has the European regulatory certifications that allow its validation, distribution and sale to the population.

A positive result indicates the presence of the virus and therefore confirms an active infection.

Who is it indicated for?

The Covid-19 antigen test is indicated for people with suspected Covid-19 during the 7 days following the appearance of the first symptoms.

Instructions for use

For sample collection:

1. Before taking the sample, it is recommended to wash your hands and blow your nose several times.

2. Then, insert a sterile swab into the nostril (at least 2.5 cm deep) and swirl it 3 to 4 times over the entire nasal mucosa.

3. Rub over the surface of the nasopharynx.

4. Repeat the previous step in the other nostril.

Sample preparation

1. Place the extraction tube on the workstation. Add approximately 350 mcl of extraction buffer to the extraction tube.

2. Insert the swab with the sample into the extraction tube, rotating the swab for approximately 10 seconds, pressing the swab head against the inside of the tube to release the antigen from the swab.

3. Leave the swab in the extraction tube for 1 minute.

4. Carefully remove the swab by pressing the tube with your fingers.

5. Place the dropper cap on the extraction tube.

6. Place the cassette in a suitable place and pour 3 drops of the sample into the sample container, pressing lightly on the extraction tube.

7. Wait for the results.

Wait 15 to 20 minutes after the test. The following indications appear on the cassette:

Positive: if two coloured lines appear, one in the control area (C) and one in the test area (T), the result is valid and positive. Note that a positive result does not rule out infection with other pathogens.

Negative: If a coloured line appears in the control area (C), but no coloured line is observed in the test area (T), the test is valid and negative. Please note that a negative result does not exclude a SARS-CoV-2 viral infection and in case of suspicion of COVID-19, the result should be confirmed by molecular diagnostic methods.

Invalid: if no coloured line appears in the control area (C), the test is invalid and the test must be repeated with another test cassette.

Pharmacist recommendations

Children under 14 years of age should use this product under adult supervision.

The recommendation of the health authorities is to test when: there are symptoms compatible with COVID-19 or there has been close contact with a positive, for more than 15 minutes and without protective measures.
