Its formula respects the ocular mucosa, as it is based on a combination of elements that are naturally found in the mucosa and adapt easily and without causing discomfort.
The solution is hypotonic and sterile packaged to avoid the need for preservatives. Its single-dose format makes it easy to apply and ensures that the solution is not contaminated and can be stored for longer.
Its main active ingredient is sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer with viscoelastic physical characteristics and high water retention capacity. It has the function of facilitating the spread of the solution over the entire ocular surface, as well as creating a layer that will protect the mucosa from external factors and help retain water to prevent ocular dryness.
It is mainly indicated for people who have the discomfort or sensation of dry and irritated eyes due to any cause, be it eye diseases, environmental factors or excessive use of the mobile phone or computer.
It is advisable to use one single dose for each application and to use one dose per day or as often as necessary. The proper way to use the single-dose packs is to first separate the tab, tilt the head back and place the tip of the pack on the eye without touching it. Pull the lower eyelid downwards using one of the fingers of your free hand and press the container until the drop of Vismed comes out.
Once the drop is on the eye, it is recommended to blink rapidly so that the solution spreads easily over the entire surface of the eye. It can be used even with contact lenses, regardless of whether they are soft or hard.
Do not use at the same time as other similar products or medications applied to the eyes. Avoid use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not apply more than four times a day.
1 ml solution contains 1.8 mg sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium citrate, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride and water for injections.
