Nicorette Spray is a medicine that helps you to stop smoking by relieving withdrawal symptoms, such as strong urges to smoke. It belongs to nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).
It works by providing the body with a small amount of nicotine without the toxic components of tobacco (such as tar or carbon monoxide). Its use facilitates the process of quitting smoking, especially when accompanied by professional support.
You are allergic to nicotine or any of the ingredients.
You are under 18 years old.
You have never smoked.
Recent heart problems or angina.
Uncontrolled high blood pressure.
Severe liver or kidney disease.
Diabetes.
Thyroid disorders or pheochromocytoma.
Stomach ulcer or oesophagitis.
Previous severe allergic reactions.

Tacrine (Alzheimer's)
Clozapine (schizophrenia)
Ropinirole (Parkinson's)
Pregnancy: It is best to stop smoking without medication. Use Nicorette only if your doctor considers it necessary.
Breastfeeding: Avoid using Nicorette. If necessary, use immediately after breast-feeding and never within two hours before breast-feeding.
It does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Not for use by anyone under 18 years of age.
Do not smoke while you are using it.
Follow these phases:
1-2 sprays every time you feel like smoking. If one is not enough, apply a second. Use 1-2 sprays every 30-60 minutes.
Maximum: 4 per hour or 64 sprays per day.
Start reducing the daily amount.
Continue to reduce until only 2-4 sprays per day are used. Once at that level, stop treatment.
Keep the spray in case you need an occasional dose in times of emergency after stopping.
Do not use for more than 6 months without consulting your doctor.
Like all medicines, it can cause side effects. Some may be due to nicotine withdrawal:
Hiccups
Headache
Nausea
Throat irritation
Dry mouth, increased saliva
Upset stomach, vomiting, flatulence
Fatigue, hypersensitivity
Mouth irritation, taste changes
Nasal congestion, dyspnoea
Palpitations, high blood pressure
Voice changes, sore mouth, sore throat
Skin rashes
Abnormal dreams, general malaise
Difficulty swallowing
Mouth numbness
Severe nausea
Blurred vision
Pain in the lips or throat
Severe allergic reactions (angioedema)
