What is Nicorette Chewing Gum 4 mg and what is it used for?

It is a medicine in the form of a medicated chewing gum that is indicated to relieve the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal syndrome, as an aid to smoking cessation.

It comes in a box of 105 chewing gums.

Who it is intended for

Suitable for use by those over 18 years of age .

How to use

Only one piece of chewing gum is to be used at a time and another piece should not be used for 1 to 2 hours. Generally use 8 to 12 pieces a day. Do not exceed 24 pieces of chewing gum per day.

The duration of treatment depends on the needs of each smoker, and it is not advisable to stop the treatment abruptly, as this could encourage a return to addiction to tobacco. It is preferable to reduce the dose gradually. For example: every 4 or 5 days, reduce the daily consumption by one or two chewing gums, until you reach the point of consuming only 1 or 2 chewing gums a day. This can be achieved in 2 to 3 months. Thetreatment should not be abandoned definitively until the dosage is stabilised at 1 or 2 chewing gums per day.

Regular use of the gum for more than 6 months is not recommended.
