It is a medicine in the form of a skin solution formulated with minoxidil, an active ingredient that combats hair loss when it is caused by factors of androgenic origin, stimulating hair growth.
Designed for use in adults suffering from androgenic alopecia, the most common type of baldness.
Apply 1 ml of solution to a completely dry scalp, using the syringe. In case of using the dosing pump, apply 10 sprays.
2. Spread the product with the fingertips, starting from the central area.
3. Wash hands with plenty of water to prevent hair from growing on unwanted areas of the body.
4. Reapply every 12 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 2 ml/day.
Note: to increase the effectiveness of this medicine, it is recommended to use this treatment for at least 4 months, as this time may be necessary until the first results appear.
Do not use Regaxidil 50:
- If you are under 18 years of age or over 65 years of age, due to lack of studies on this population.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are allergic to minoxidil or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Regaxidil 50 mg/ml may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that all people will experience side effects. Specifically, the following have been observed:
- Frequent: itching, irritation, dry skin, scaling, dermatitis, hypertrichosis, eczema,
- Rare: tachycardia, palpitations, hypotension, headache, paraesthesia, generalised flushing, alopecia, eczema, hypertrichosis.
- Very rare: eye irritation, impaired vision.
- Frequency not known: severe allergic reactions.
Composition of Regaxidil 50 mg/ml. The active substance is minoxidil. Each millilitre (ml) of solution contains 50 mg of minoxidil. One ml is equivalent to 10 sprays. The other ingredients (excipients) are: 96% ethanol; glycerol; methoxyethene polymer with 2-butenedioic acid, monobutyl ester and purified water.
