How sun pills work

Oral capsules: benefits, how to use them and which ones to choose

Taking oral capsules is important to protect us from the sun and prepare our skin for intense exposure, because they offer all-round protection that complements the use of topical sunscreens.

These capsules, such as those from Heliocare, contain antioxidants and natural extracts such as Polypodium leucotomos, which help strengthen the skin’s defences against damage caused by UV radiation from within. As well as:

  1. Reducing oxidative stress: The antioxidants present in the capsules neutralise the free radicals generated by sun exposure, minimising cell damage and premature skin ageing.
  2. Increasing resistance to the sun: The active ingredients improve the skin’s ability to tolerate sun exposure, reducing susceptibility to sunburn.
  3. Protecting the DNA of skin cells: By reducing DNA damage caused by UV radiation, the risk of developing serious problems such as skin cancer is lowered.
  4. Maintaining healthier skin: The combination of ingredients strengthens the skin barrier and improves overall skin health, providing extra protection against the harmful effects of the sun.

Depending on your needs or skin type, one will be more suitable for your situation than another. We explain each one below:

Heliocare capsules: which one should you take?

In the case of skin without dark spots during sun exposure, it would simply be Heliocare cápsulas.

Likewise, to accelerate tanning and achieve an even tone, in the months before sun exposure as well as during it, Heliocare Bronze is recommended.

As mentioned, for skin without dark spots.

For skin with dark spots and photoageing: Heliocare 360º, these contain a cocktail of active ingredients, Fermblock, cysteine, niacinamide, vitamin C, vitamin E and prebiotics. To help prevent ageing and protect skin prone to hyperpigmentation.

When we need photoprotection (as a complement, mind) with high performance because we are going to be exposed more intensely, for example when doing sport, the recommendation would be to take Heliocare 360º Sport.

And then for all skin types, for periods of lower exposure we would have Heliocare Ultra-D and for periods of greater exposure Heliocare 360º D Plus.

Lastly, we must not forget the little ones, who tend to have more sensitive skin and above all are more reactive to the sun. It can be taken from the age of 4, and it would be Heliocare 360º Junior Oral Stick.

It is important to remember that the capsules do not replace the use of topical sunscreens, but rather act as a complement, offering a more complete and effective defence against sun damage. But it is essential to keep using and reapplying sunscreen.

We hope this post helps you maintain healthy sun protection habits every year!
