How do head lice spread?

Tips to prevent the spread of head lice
Although the best way to prevent head lice is to check the head (at least once a week), here are a series of tips to follow that may be very helpful:
- Do not share combs, brushes or hair accessories(hair bands, headbands, bows, hats...). It is vitally important that these items are disinfected regularly with hot water and soap. Another ideal product for cleaning is vinegar.
- Avoid head-to-head contact(hair to hair).
- Do not sleep at someone else's house.If we know of a head lice outbreak among our contacts, we do not recommend staying overnight in their home, as towels, bedding, pillowcases or cushions are places where lice may live in order to survive. Therefore, it is better to wait up to 2 days (48 hours) after starting an anti-lice treatment.
