Sandoz Bienestar Lactase 30 capsules

Sandoz Bienestar Lactase is a food supplement formulated for people who are lactose intolerant. It contains a large amount of the enzyme lactase, which is responsible for digesting lactose and converting it into two sugars that the body uses to generate energy.

When large amounts of lactose-containing foods are consumed, organisms that cannot digest the enzyme are unable to digest it properly. In these cases, the body's response is to look for ways to eliminate this nutrient, as it cannot metabolise it. This results in stomach pains, flatulence and, in some cases, diarrhoea.

This supplement does not have the lactose-type enzyme naturally, but does have a synthetic enzyme that works in the same way. However, its consumption does not restore the body's ability to create the enzyme naturally, and only provides a good amount so that the lactose molecules can be converted into energy for the cells to use for their most basic functions.
