INFO AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Ricola's menthol candies are formulated with a varied blend of aromatic herbs that have been cultivated in the Swiss mountains. These crops are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Their minty flavour helps soothe the voice and throat when a cold comes on.

The Swiss herbs that have been blended to make these candies have cooling effects on the respiratory tract, throat and mouth. They are elder, mallow, sage, dandelion, yarrow, marshmallow, veronica, primrose, plantain, pimpernel, thyme, mint and horehound. Their combination results in a pleasant and peculiar taste.

One of the star ingredients of these candies is menthol or peppermint extract with analgesic, antiseptic, decongestant and antibacterial actions in the throat and mouth. Menthol also helps to neutralise the proliferation of oral bacteria, contributing to the reduction of halitosis (bad breath).

On the other hand, there is sugar alcohol (sorbitol), which, in addition to sweetening, provides moisturisation and texture, preventing the candy from crystallising. This syrup does not contain as many calories as sugar, has a pleasant and refreshing taste and does not promote tooth decay.

No artificial flavours or colours have been added in the formulation of stevia herbal candies. They also come in a convenient small size format.

The presence of stevia in these candies, in addition to sweetening and replacing sugar, helps to reduce stomach acidity. It also has diuretic, antibacterial, vasodilator and immune system strengthening properties.
