Our All for Fibre is a rich source of soluble fibre. The husk powder swells and multiplies its original volume when moistened. So-called mucilaginous polysaccharides are found in the seed shells and are responsible for the pronounced bulking behaviour and high water binding. These mucilages naturally increase the volume of food intake and are therefore suitable for dogs or cats that are not easily satiated as a saturation supplement. Another positive effect is the increase in stool volume, which can be a nutritional support for recurring anal gland problems. Find our homemade recipe here. As Psyllium husk forms a jelly and coats the stomach and intestine, it can affect the absorption of medicines. Please bring the intake of medication before taking Psyllium, always mix with water in a ratio of 1:10 before administration!
