Propalgar Oral Spray 0,51mg/pulp 1 Bottle 30 ml

It is a medicine formulated with benzydamine, an active ingredient belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for the local relief of pain and irritation of the mouth and throat.

Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age who are able to hold their breath during spraying.

The recommended dose varies according to the age range of the patient:

• 12 years and over: apply 2 to 4 sprays at a time, 2 to 6 times per day (no more than every 1.5 - 3 hours).
• Children between 6 and 12 years: apply 2 sprays each time, 2 to 6 times per day (no more than every 1.5 - 3 hours).

Do not use Propalgar Oral Spray:

• In children under 6 years of age.
• In children who are not able to hold their breath during spraying.
• If you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).

Like all medicines, Propalgar Mouth Spray may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. Specifically, the following have been observed:

• Rare: photosensitivity (the skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight than normal, causing an itchy, red, scaly rash, sometimes with blisters).
• Rare: itching and dry mouth, numb mouth and pharynx (this effect is part of the purpose of the medication and disappears quickly), nausea, vomiting.
• Very rare: difficulty in breathing or swallowing (laryngospasm or bronchospasm), painful swelling of the subcutaneous mucous membrane (angioedema),
• Unknown frequency: allergic reactions (hypersensitivity).
• Severe: severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock), signs such as difficulty breathing, chest pain or tightness and/or feeling of dizziness/fainting, severe itching of the skin or appearance of bumps on the skin, swelling of the skin, lips, tongue and/or throat, which may be potentially life-threatening. If you experience any of these serious side effects mentioned above, seek medical advice immediately.

The active substance in Propalgar Mouth Spray is benzydamine. Each ml of mouth spray solution contains 3 mg benzydamine hydrochloride (one spray contains 0.51 mg benzydamine hydrochloride). The other ingredients are: glycerol 85%, ethanol 96%, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), saccharin sodium (E-954), sodium hydrogen carbonate (E 500) for pH adjustment, cherry flavouring, water.
