Normofit 60 mg, 84 hard capsules

It is a medicine in the form of hard capsules formulated with orlistat, a highly effective active ingredient that helps people with a body mass index (BMI) of 28 kg/m2 or more to lose weight.

Its use should be combined with a slightly low-calorie, low-fat diet.

It comes in a convenient 84-capsule pack.

Intended for use in adults over 18 years of age.

Take 1 capsule of 60 mg, 3 times a day. Under no circumstances should this maximum daily amount be exceeded.

Treatment should be accompanied by a low-calorie diet and exercise. It is therefore recommended to start a diet and exercise programme before starting to take Normofit as, while taking Normofit , the patient should follow a nutritionally balanced diet, in which approximately 30% of calories come from fat.

The maximum treatment time should not exceed 6 months.

Do not use Normofit:

• In children under 18 years of age.

• In case of allergy to orlistat or any of the excipients present in this medicine.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• Patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome orcholestasis .

• If you are on concurrent treatment with ciclosporin, warfarin or other oral anticoagulants.

Normofit can cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, most of the problems are the result of its mechanism of action, which is why high-fat foods should be avoided.

• Serious: severe allergic reaction, rectal bleeding, diverticulitis, pancreatitis, skin blisters, hepatitis and oxalate nephropathy.

• Very common: Sudden bowel movement, Oily or greasy stools, loose stools, and gas (flatulence) with or without oily spotting.

• Frequent: More frequent stools, faecal incontinence, fluid or liquid stools, abdominal pain and anxiety.

Each hard capsule of Normofit contains 60 mg of orlistat as the main active ingredient.
