It is a medicine formulated with orlistat, an active substance widely used to aid weight loss in people with a body mass index, BMI, ≥28 kg/m2.
Its use should be combined with a slightly low-calorie, low-fat diet.

Intended for use by adults over 18 years of age.
Take 1 capsule of 60 mg, 3 times a day, without exceeding this maximum daily amount.
Treatment should be accompanied by a low-calorie diet and exercise. It is recommended that a diet and exercise programme be started before taking Normofit as, while on this medicine, the patient should follow a nutritionally balanced diet, with approximately 30% of calories coming from fat.
The maximum treatment time should not exceed 6 months.
Do not use Normofit:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of allergy to orlistat or to any of the excipients present in this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome orcholestasis .
If you are undergoing simultaneous treatment with ciclosporin, warfarin or other oral anticoagulants.
Normofit can cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, most of the problems are the result of its mechanism of action, which is why high-fat foods should be avoided.
Serious: severe allergic reaction, rectal bleeding, diverticulitis, pancreatitis, skin blisters, hepatitis and oxalate nephropathy.
Very common: Sudden bowel movement, Oily or greasy stools, loose stools, and gas (flatulence) with or without oily spotting.
Frequent: More frequent bowel movements, faecal incontinence, fluid or liquid stools, abdominal pain and anxiety.
Each hard capsule of Normofit contains 60 mg of orlistat as the main active ingredient.
