Do not delay taking, as the sooner you take the medicine, the more effective it will be. You can take it at any time during your menstrual cycle except if you are already pregnant or think you may be pregnant, as Levonorgestrel does not interrupt pregnancy. Contraindications Do not take Levonorgestrel Sandoz : - If you are allergic to levonorgestrel or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. - If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. - You have Crohn's disease or severe liver problems. - You have a family history of salpingitis or ectopic pregnancy. Side effects Levonorgestrel can cause side effects, as with all medicines, but not everybody gets them.
