Instructions for use The recommended dosage is 1 drop in the affected eye(s), whenever necessary or under medical indication. Each single-dose solution should be used immediately after opening. To avoid possible contamination of the dropper and the solution, the dropper should not come into contact with the eye or any other surface. Do not forget to wash your hands before each use. Contraindications Do not use Lagroben if you are allergic to carmellose sodium or any of the excipients. If irritation, pain, redness or changes in vision occur or if you think your condition is getting worse, stop using this medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Side effects Lagroben may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following side effects have been reported, although the number of people who may be affected is unknown: eye irritation, burning or stinging sensation, blurred vision and increased tear production (also known as lacrimation). Composition The active substance in Lagroben is carmellose sodium. Each ml of solution contains 5 mg of carmellose sodium. The other ingredients are sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid and water for injections. Pharmaceutical advice The composition of Lagroben has been specially designed to simulate the natural composition of your tears. Its convenient single-dose format allows you to take it with you wherever you go. It can also be used with disposable contact lenses. It comes in single-dose packs of 0.4 ml sterile solution. Each carton contains 30 single-dose packs. Do not reuse the single-dose pack, even if there is remaining solution. If more than one medicine is used ophthalmically, applications should be spaced at least 5 minutes apart. Read the package leaflet included with this medicine carefully.
