Sachets for the treatment of diarrhoea in adults and children from 6 years of age.

It is an anti-diarrhoeal medicine in sachets containing powder for oral suspension for the treatment of diarrhoeal processes that may be caused by the destruction of the intestinal flora due to the administration of antibiotics.
It is intended for the treatment of diarrhoea symptoms in adults and children from 6 years of age.
Pour the contents of the sachet into half a glass of water, mixing until completely dissolved before swallowing. The dose varies according to the weight and age of the patient:
- In adults and children over 6 years of age, take 1 to 2 sachets per day depending on the severity, divided into two doses. In cases of acute diarrhoea, 3 sachets may be taken on the first day of treatment, divided into three doses, to be followed the next day with the recommended dose of 1-2 sachets.
- In children under 6 years of age, consult a doctor before taking this medicine.
Do not take LACTEOL sachets:
- In case of allergy to any of the components present in this medicine.
- In case of allergy to milk or lactose.
Lacteol sachets may have side effects, as is the case with other medicines. In particular, some symptoms related to Lactobacillus have been found, such as gas, hiccups, constipation or skin rashes.
Each sachet contains:
- As active ingredient: Lactobacillus acidophilus *(dead) ....................................10.000 million bacteria (as 340 mg freeze-dried powdered bacterial bodies of Lactobacillus acidophilus strain Lacteol (LB), dead in their culture medium, fermented and neutralised), excipient s.s * Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus delbrueckii.
- The other excipients are: sucrose, lactose, silicic acid, banana orange flavouring, calcium carbonate (E-170).
Lacteol oral suspension sachets is a medicinal product of microbial origin that is administered orally. It is formulated with strains of Lactobacillus, which exert an anti-diarrhoeal action once administered in the body, improving the microbiota.
To take it, simply dilute the powder in water and swallow quickly. Depending on the intensity of the diarrhoeal process, one to two sachets are recommended during the day, always accompanied by good hydration and a soft diet.
