Lightderm® inhibits the growth and maturation of melanosomes. It also reduces the number of melanosomes, specialised parts of melanocyte cells responsible for melanin synthesis and storage. Niacinamide reduces the transfer of melanin to the keratinocytes of the epidermis. Papain, a protease enzyme in the cream, gently removes dead skin cells and stimulates regeneration.
