What is Cinfatós Expectorant and what is it used for?
It is amedicine in the form of a syrup formulated with a combination of dextromethorphan and guaifenesin, two active ingredients with antitussive and expectorantaction. It is therefore used to relieve coughs and to help expel excess mucus and phlegm in colds and flus.

Instructions for use
Measure the amount of medicine to be taken with the measuring cup that comes with the bottle. After use, wash the measuring cup.
The recommended dose varies according to the age of the patient:
Over 12 years of age: take 5 ml or 10 ml, every 4-6 hours as needed. Maximum 60 ml / 24 hours.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: administer 2.5 ml or 5 ml every 4-6 hours according to need. Maximum 30 ml / 24 hours.

Precautions In patients with hepatic insufficiency, the dose should be reduced by half, not exceeding in any case the 4 daily intakes. Patients with persistent or chronic cough, such as those due to smoking or who are sedated, debilitated or bedridden should not take this medicine. Contraindications Do not use Cinfatós Expectorant: In children under 6 years of age. Rare: mental confusion. Compositio n The active ingredients in Cinfatós Expectorant are dextromethorphan hydrobromide and guaifenesin. Specifically, each ml of oral solution contains 2 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 20 mg guaifenesin. The other excipients are: saccharin sodium, non-crystallisable liquid sorbitol (E-420), povidone, sodium benzoate (E-211), citric acid monohydrate, orange flavouring and purified water. Pharmaceutical advice It is recommended to drink a glass of water after each dose and plenty of fluids throughout the day. Can be taken with or without food. Do not take with grapefruit or bitter orange juice or alcoholic beverages. You should consult a doctor if you get worse or if you do not improve after 7 days of treatment.
