The skin contains 70% water, mostly located in the dermis bound to the macromolecules present, such as hyaluronic acid. There are three key elements in the epidermis to keep it hydrated: Aquaporins (allow water to circulate), NMF (to retain water) and barrier function (prevent insensible water loss). Dehydration occurs when one of these three elements is not working properly. Dehydrated skin becomes tight, rough and loses radiance and may become flaky or itchy. Hydrabio Serum with concentrated hyaluronic acid, glycerin and xylitol maintains and enhances intense hydration , while stimulating the formation of aquaporins to promote the flow of water into the skin.
