Avène celebrates its 30th anniversary with surprises, discounts, gifts and a look back over the past years and its iconic thermal water. This is its story!A story that begins in 1736, in a small village in the south of France located in the Orb Valley, where it was discovered that the waters from its spring had soothing and anti-irritating properties. A century later, by 1871, the whole of America knew about the healing properties of Avène thermal waters and they were used to treat burns from the Chicago fire. Three years later, the spring was declared of public interest. At the end of the following century (1990), technology made it possible to create the first dermatological laboratories so that from 1993 to 2003 cosmetics production could begin and gradually increase. In 2004 the thermal baths were expanded and the Water Laboratory was created, located in Avène Les Bains-Les-Bains. Today, Avène laboratories are world specialists in products that adapt to every skin type and need, focusing on facial and body care, cleansing and hydration. They also show their commitment to the environment, with a reformulation of their sun products in order to protect and preserve the ecosystem.
