At this stage, our skin may undergo a series of changes due to the hormonal imbalances that come with pregnancy:

  • Greater skin sensitivity,as it becomes intolerant to certain substances that previously did not affect it.
  • Lack of hydration. As a result, the skin becomes dry.
  • The skin stretches, causing the appearance ofstretch marks, varicose veins and cellulite, among others.

There are several active ingredients whose use may be advisable during pregnancy, including the following:

  • Niacinamide.Thisvitamin B3 derivative counteracts skin discolouration, reduces oiliness and hydrates the dermis and epidermis.
