Who it is intended for It is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age who suffer from cold sores. How to use Apply a sufficient amount of product with your finger to cover the affected area of the lip with a thin layer approximately every 4 hours during the day, a maximum of 5 times a day. The maximum duration of treatment is 10 days. Contraindications Do not use Zovicrem lip balm: In children under 12 years of age. In case of allergy to acyclovir, valacyclovir or any of the excipients of this medicine. Precautions Before starting treatment with this medicine, a doctor should be consulted: Immunosuppressed patients (e.g. AIDS patients, people who have received transplants, or who are undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy), should consult a doctor. Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding. Side effects Zovicrem lip balm may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. Composition Each gram of Zovicrem Lip Cream contains 50 mg of acyclovir as the active substance. The other excipients are: poloxamer 407, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulphate, white soft paraffin, dimethicone, arlacel 165 (macrogol stearate 100 and glycerol monostearate), liquid paraffin, propylene glycol and purified water.
