On 22 June, a new European law came into force (Regulation (EU) 2022/860) which stipulates that red yeast rice food supplements must contain less than 3mg of monacolin per daily dose. To comply with this new regulation, we have reformulated the product, which now contains, per tablet: - 2.9 mg of Monacolin K. Monacolins are obtained from the fermentation of rice with the red yeast Monascus Purpureus. It has been used in China and other Asian countries for centuries as a traditional medicine. - We have also added 10 mg of Coenzyme Q10, to counteract the interference of monacolins with the body's CoQ10 levels. - And 4 mg of Vitamin B3. To compensate for this reduction in dosage, we have tripled the number of tablets per pack to 540 instead of 180. Our Red Yeast Rice tablets have been analysed by an accredited laboratory. We carry out regular testing in independent, accredited laboratories to ensure the highest product quality.
