Gel for the local relief of pain and mild and occasional inflammation caused by small contusions, blows, strains, torticollis or other contractures, lumbago and slight sprains.

Zenavanis a topical gel medicine formulated with etofenamate, an active ingredient that acts as a local analgesic and anti-inflammatory . It is therefore used for the local relief of mild and occasional pain and inflammation caused by minor contusions, bruises, strains, sprains, torticollis or other contractures, low back pain and minor sprains caused by a sprain.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Apply 3 or 4 times a day a portion of Zenavan gel (corresponding to approximately 1.7-3.3 g of gel) on the affected area, massaging gently for absorption.
As with all medicines, Zenavan may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, the following have been observed:
Do not use Zenavan gel:
-In children under 12 years of age.
-On wounds, eczematous lesions, mucous membranes or sunburn.
- On large areas or for a prolonged period of time (may cause irritation and dryness).
- If occlusive dressings are to be used. Avoid applying to the same area where other topical medicines have been applied.
- If you are going to expose the treated area to the sun. Sun exposure of the treated area should be avoided toreduce the risk of photosensitivity reactions.
- If you have asthma, chronic obstructive airway disease, hay fever, nasal polyps or chronic respiratory infections, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
- Consult your doctor if yousuffer from: gastroduodenal ulcer, ulcerative colitis, coagulation disorders, high blood pressure, heart, liver or kidney problems.
Each gram of Zenavan gel contains 50 mg of etofenamate. The other excipients are:carbomer 940, trolamine, isopropyl alcohol, macrogol 400, emulgin M-8, essential oil of loblolly pine, essential oil of eucalyptus (d-limonene) and purified water.
You should inform your doctor if it gets worse or does not improve after seven days. Avoid exposure to the sun in the area where theproduct is applied.
