It is based on an innovative combination of ingredients, including Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), cross-linked sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (cross-linked CMC) and Poloxamer 407. Cross-linked CMC forms a protective layer on the surface of the eye that provides relief and comfort for dry eye patients. In turn, CoQ10 has been shown to protect the eye and promote healing of corneal damage caused by dry eye syndrome or eye surgery.
Poloxamer 407 is an excellent thermogelating agent, which allows the solution to be administered as an eye drop and once it comes into contact with the ocular surface, it transforms into a gel. This means that patients using VisuXL Gel experience the comfort of a gel with the convenience of a drop. VisuXL Gel contains no preservatives, is compatible with contact lenses, allows dosing every 12 hours with 2 drops per day, and is suitable for both day and night use.
