Virbac Junior Neutered Cat contains 44% protein, 91% of which is of animal origin.
Once neutered, young cats are still predisposed to becoming overweight even as they continue to grow. HPM Junior Neutered Cat is specially formulated to meet the needs of cats in this period of their lives.
Growth after neutering. The risk of overweight that can occur after neutering is limited by moderate energy, adapted rations and L-carnitine supplementation. In addition, the high protein content contributes to muscle development.
Moderate calorie intake. A reduced fat content and increased fibre content ensure that the energy content of the diet is appropriate for the end of growth after neutering.
Urinary health. The high level of animal protein stimulates water intake, increases urine quantity and helps stabilise pH for a healthy urinary system. Chitosan supplementation helps to regulate the elimination of phosphorus in the urine, to enhance prevention of struvite crystal formation.
Digestive tolerance. The low starch content helps to ensure that the feed is well tolerated by the animal's digestive system. The choice of prebiotics and probiotics regulate intestinal transit and contribute to maintaining optimal intestinal health.
Skin and coat support. High protein levels and the correct balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids contribute to the development of skin functions and coat formation.
