Vaselix 40% 30 G

Viñas presents Vaselix 40% ointment, a keratolytic that has been developed to treat hyperkeratosis, especially in cases of excessive desquamation of the skin and/or thick stratum corneum such as calluses, thick plaques of psoriasis, etc. It also helps in cases of mosaic warts, chronic eczema and helomas. Its high salicylic acid content has an exfoliating effect that helps to peel off the horny layer present in these types of conditions, thus reducing excessive flaking of the skin.

Hyperkeratotic skin disorders are characterised by thickening of the outer part of the epidermis, known as the stratum corneum. At this level the cells have a high keratin content, which provides a dry and hard composition. Popularly, these conditions are known as corns or calluses. However, there are various types or forms of hyperkeratosis, such as warts, eczema, ichthyosis, among other conditions.

In this case, salicylic acid minimises the thick, hard layer of the epidermis. It also removes dead skin cells and reduces inflammation.
