Uromil is a dietary supplement developed from American cranberry extract, which has excellent antibacterial properties and is very beneficial for urinary tract health. The fruit contains "type A" proanthocyanidins, which are found only in cranberry. These bind to filaments of Escherichia coli and other bacteria present in urine. This supplement has the recommended amounts of type A proanthocyanidins and helps to prevent or treat possible infections. It is also used as an adjuvant to antibiotic therapy in the case of acute cystitis.
It relieves symptoms such as recurrent urge to urinate, as well as frequent and scanty urination. It also reduces discomfort such as dysuria or painful urination.
