URGO Antifungal Treat & Color Filmogel® is a medical device for the treatment of onychomycosis. Its formula with Olile-Active™, a patented ingredient of natural origin, creates an unfavourable environment in which fungi cannot survive and multiply. WHAT IS NAIL FUNGUS? Nail fungus is a common condition that starts as a white or yellow spot on the edge of the fingernail or toenail. Nail fungus can cause discolouration of the nail, thickening and splitting of the nail edge and, if left untreated, can cause irritation and loss of the nail. It can affect several nails.
HOW DOES URGO ANTIFUNGAL TREAT & COLOUR FILMOGEL® RED WORK?
URGO Antifungal Treat & Color Filmogel® is a medical device indicated to treat onychomycosis. Its formula with Olile-Active™, an ingredient of natural origin (based on olive tree leaves and algae), creates an unfavourable environment in which fungi cannot survive and multiply. It reduces fungal infection, according to an in vitro study in which a 90% decrease in the growth of fungi responsible for nail fungus was observed (*Medical brands, 2022).
Olile-Active™ (based on olive leaves and algae), Aqua, Ethylhexyl acrylate/styrene copolymer, Acrylates copolymer, Ammonium acrylates/methylstyrene/styrene copolymer, Boric acid, Trimethyl hydroxypentyl isobutyrate, Propanediol, CI 15850, Phenethyl alcohol, Pentylene glycol, 1 2-Hexanediol, PEG-150/ Decyl alcohol/SMDI Copolymer, PPG-3 ,ethyl ether, PEG-40 Castor oil, CI 73360, Xanthan gum, Sodium lauryl sulfate, PPG-25 Dimethicone, Silica silytate, Sodium hydroxide.
Start using the product at the first sign of fungal nail infection.
TREATMENT PHASE:
Use the polish every 72 hours for 4 weeks.
Before each use, shake the bottle to mix the product and ensure the correct homogeneity of the solution.
Apply one or two coats of product to obtain the desired coverage. The polish should cover the entire surface of the nail and the exposed nail bed. If the coverage peels off before the next application, apply a new coat. Before applying any new coat, remove the existing coat by rubbing with warm water or nail polish remover cone.
Before each use, remove any remaining nail polish.
Nail polish must be completely dry before putting on socks, shoes or gloves.
Once a week, it is recommended to file the nail to prepare it optimally for treatment. Discard the file to avoid re-infection.
MAINTENANCE PHASE:
Once the treatment is completed , you can continue to use URGO Antifungal Treat & Color Filmogel ® Red twice a week, until the nail has completely grown out."
