Sachets for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhoea of non-specific origin and prevention of diarrhoea.

It is a medicine in the form of granulated sachets containing a probiotic yeast called Saccharomyces boulardii as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhoea of non-specific origin, as well as for the prevention of diarrhoeal processes.
It comes in a pack of 20 granulated sachets.
Suitable for adults and children from 2 years of age.
The sachets should be taken dissolved in a glass of water. The dose to be used depends on the age of the patient and the evolution of the symptoms:
From 12 years of age: take 1 to 2 sachets ( 250 mg to 500 mg) a day distributed in two intakes (morning and evening).
Children from 2 to 12 years of age: take 1 sachet (250 mg) a day.
Always use the lowest effective dose.
Do not use Ultra Levura Granulate:
In children under 2 years of age except under express medical advice.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
If you are allergic or hypersensitive to yeasts.
In patients with central venous catheter (immunocompromised or hospitalised patients due to severe illness or impaired/weakened immune system).
Like all medicines, Ultra Levura Granulate may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. Specifically, the most common side effect, although rare, is flatulence. Other effects include constipation, itching, reddening of the skin, sepsis, fungaemia.
The active ingredient of Ultra Levura Granulate is Saccharomyces boulardii. The other ingredients are: fructose, lactose, anhydrous colloidal silica, tuttifrutti flavouring (contains sorbitol).
This medicine is taken orally. The sachets are to be taken dissolved in water.
Preferably take before meals. During treatment with Ultra Levura, do not drink very hot food or drink (above 50°C), ice cream or food containing alcohol, as Saccharomyces boulardii contains live cells.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may need to take any other medicines.
