Like all medicines, Tecnimede Paracetamol 500 mg may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In this case, the following effects have been observed:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to take paracetamol:
If you have liver problems, including those caused by excessive alcohol consumption.
If you have kidney problems.
If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
If you suffer from anorexia, bulimia, cachexia or chronic malnutrition.
If you suffer from dehydration or hypovolaemia.
If you are taking a medicine to treat epilepsy.
If you have Gilbert's disease (also known as Meulengracht 's disease ).
If you have heart failure, respiratory failure or anaemia; in these situations, administration should be done under supervision and only for short periods.
If you suffer from asthma and are sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid.
The tablets are scored so that they can be broken in half to divide them into equal doses. Remember not to exceed the stated dose and always use the lowest effective dose. Remember not to take more than the maximum daily dose, as serious liver damage may occur.You should consult a doctor if fever worsens or does not improve or worsens after 3 days of treatment.In case of pain, consult a doctor if pain persists for 5 days.
