Purina Veterinary Diets NF Renal Function dry and dietetic food specially formulated for cats with kidney problems. It is a food containing nutrients that treat chronic renal insufficiency. It is low in protein and phosphorus so that kidney function is protected and stone formation (struvite and oxalate) is controlled. It also contains added potassium citrate which reduces the risk of hypocalcaemia.

All ingredients are of high quality and taste irresistible to even the most inappetent cats, a characteristic often found in cats with CKD. It is a non-acidifying diet, avoiding the risk of acidosis and is enriched with B vitamins to compensate for losses during diuresis. Purina helps the cat's quality of life by slowing the progression of renal insufficiency, but as it has a series of contraindications it should not be used in cats in the growth phase or in pregnant or lactating females.
