- Its formula contains :
- Chlorhexidine digluconate 0.05%, broad spectrum antiseptic with high substantivity (long lasting). Bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties, for those situations in which the use of a low concentration antiseptic is sufficient.
- Cetylpyridinium chloride 0.05%, antiseptic with high antiplaque effectiveness, which enhances the action of chlorhexidine.
Indications :
- Prevents recurrence and progression of periodontal disease in patients previously treated for gingivitis, periodontitis or peri-implantitis, allowing greater infection control.
- Reduces the incidence of loss of support in patients with fixed prostheses or implants and prevents the accumulation of bacteria and other debris.
- Substitute for oral hygiene when proper brushing is not possible in special patients.
- Prevention of root caries in patients with gingival recession.
- Control of S.mutans in patients with a high incidence of caries.
Its low concentration allows treatments to be carried out for more than 6 months.
Instructions for use :
- Rinse with 15 ml twice a day, for 30 seconds, morning and evening after brushing. It can be used diluted with water 1:1 or 2:1 (water and mouthwash), with the help of an oral irrigator.
- It is advisable not to rinse with water or ingest food immediately after using Perio-Aid maintenance.
