Mepilex® Up Foam Dressing is specifically designed to treat wounds with moderate exudate. This dressing is able to manage more exudate and absorb it more quickly compared to other foam dressings. It is also comfortable and versatile, meaning it can be used to treat wounds with normal or viscous exudate, regardless of the stage of wound healing. Mepilex Up includes our Safetac® Wound Contact Foil, which is clinically proven to minimise damage to both the wound and the skin when the dressing is removed. By sealing the wound edges, these dressings help prevent maceration. By reducing damage to the wound and skin, pain during dressing changes is also minimised. This dressing is able to manage a greater amount of exudate compared to other foam dressings. In addition, its ability to absorb exudate is faster. It can be used at any stage of wound healing with exudate, regardless of the type of exudate present, even if it is viscous.
